USAG Mens Competitive Team Program
Team Information
The Eagle’s Wings Athletics Men’s competitive gymnastics team competes within the USA Gymnastics (USAG) Junior Olympic Program. The competitive team is made up of boys ages 6 - 18. Team is by invitation only. The training schedule will vary based on the level your son has been invited to compete. Eagle’s Wings has team members competing in levels 4 - 10 and is home to State and Regional champions, as well as several National Qualifiers. The Eagle’s Wings competitive team competes all over the state of Texas as well as the country. In the past the team members have traveled to Disney World in Florida, Las Vegas, New Mexico, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio, Georgia, Louisiana, and Missouri. Some years we also compete in the USAG’s Future Stars Program that is used to identify talent at a young age. This is only for a few selected boys from the team.

Greg grew up in Richardson and went to Berkner High School where he was the captain of the varsity men’s gymnastics team. He has been coaching since 1991 and raising kids for over 25 years. He has led several boys to State and/or Regional event, all around and team awards, along with qualifying several boys to Nationals! He graduated from UNT with a degree in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, and Health. Greg taught in the public schools for 4 years. He is actively involved in many committees & state/regional boards…one of which is the Gymnastics Association or Texas (GAT) for which he was elected and serves as the Men’s Program Coordinator. He creates, authors , directs, and speaks for seminars and courses at state, regional, and national conventions. He creates boys training videos that are studied by coaches all over the world. At EWA Greg “Coach Schram” works with Level 1-10 boys on all events and was voted as the Coach of the Year by the EWA staff. He won the North Texas Level 4 & 5 Coach of the Year and was nominated for the Level 6-10 Coach of the Year for 2009 by coaches from all across Texas. Greg loves rock climbing, snow skiing, snowboarding, skydiving, building, and many other sports/activities with family, friends, and co-workers. |
