Summer Camps/Gym Closure
Although we are closed for classes this week, EWA’s office is open for business! If you still need to get your little on enrolled in summer camp, you can stop by and do that Tuesday - Friday from 8a-6p at our Allen location! Camp information is below, so check it out and let us know if you need any help! Summer camp starts next Monday with our “It’s a Zoo in Here” theme! Hope to see you there :]
General Information:
The purpose of EWA Summer Adventure Camp is to provide a quality program that encourages kids to set personal goals, challenge
themselves and develop good sportsmanship and team work skills while enjoying a fun and active day camp experience. EWA Summer Adventure Camp offers a unique and rewarding program to help children learn to set and achieve goals. Each camper will set their goals based on the list of challenges they receive on the first day of camp. Campers can share their achievement with their family and friends at the Award Ceremony on Friday afternoon. Water Wednesday is back this year! Children ages 3 and older are welcome to come to camp. You can choose from 2, 3, 4 or 5-day camps and stay from 8am - Noon (ages 3+), Noon - 4pm (ages 3+), or 8am - 4pm (ages 5+). The choice is yours! We even offer Extended Camp Care from 4pm - 6pm at a reasonable rate.
Eligibility: Children must be at least 3 years old and potty trained by the start of camp.
What to Bring: Camp T-shirts must be worn at all times during camp for security purposes. Please bring a full change of clothes for each camper, swim suit and towel for Water Wednesday. Campers should bring a sack lunch, a snack, and a refillable water bottle. All medications and special instructions must be signed into the office on your child’s 1st day of camp each week. Please be sure to label all
items brought to camp with your child’s name, including your camp T-shirt.
Drop Off & Pick Up: Each child will need to be signed in and out by a parent at the sign-in table in the lobby and issued a numbered wristband. The parent will be given the number to use during pickup. If someone other than a parent is picking up please tell them your child’s wristband number. *Please note
that Wednesday’s are designated Water Wednesday’s. We will pull out the inflatable
water slide (weather permitting), and let the kids go to town. If you forget your
child’s bathing suit, they will not be able to participate in the water slide.
Other activities will be made available for these students.

Super Babies Workshop
THIS Friday May 27, 2011 10a-11a
Come learn ways you can help your baby get a jump start. The sooner you start these techniques the better. We will be movin’ and groovin’, stretching and building muscles.
This clinic is for infants and babies up to 18 months.
$4.00 for members
$6.00 for non-members
Older siblings are welcome. For $3.00, they will have an another teacher watching them during 1 hour of open gym .

Make-Up Class This Saturday

Has your child missed a class recently? Remember that we allow 1 make-up class per month, and THIS Saturday May 21st is that class! Join us from 1p-2p at EWA Allen. The kids will all stretch together then be broken out into their respective classes and levels! If you can’t make the class this Saturday, you can also stop by the office for an Open Gym pass to make up for the time lost.
You must pre register for the make-up class so we know how many teachers to have, so please call the office ASAP to do so! 972.727.9911

All Open Gyms This Week!
This week we have something for everyone! Mark your calendars, invite your friends, and we will see you at the gym!
Preschool Open Gym (Ages 18 mths - 5 years)
(Moving to 1st and 3rd Mondays June - August)
Preschool Open Gym will be held the 1st and 3rd Friday of every month from 10:00a to 12:00p. Open gym is a wonderful time to play with your children in the gym, have them show you the things they have learned in class, and just enjoy being in the gym. Although Members and Non Members are allowed to attend PSOG, students enrolled in a preschool class can attend Open Gym at a reduced rate. Children ages 5 and under must have an adult present during their time at Open Gym.

Walkers - Members - $4
Walkers - Non Members - $6
Home School Open Gym (Ages 3 and older)
(closed June - August)
Eagle’s Wings Athletics Home School Open Gym is held the 1st and 3rd Friday of every month from 1p - 3p. Open gym is a non-structured environment where participants can move freely around the gym. Participants can practice gymnastics skills, work on strength or build forts out of mats. This is a great opportunity for kids to let out a little energy, while being physically fit. Although Members and Non Members are allowed to attend HSOG, students enrolled in a class can attend Open Gym at a reduced rate. Children ages 5 and under must have an adult present during their time at Open Gym.

Friday Nite Open Gym (Ages 6 and older)
Friday Nite Open Gym is is this Friday from 7p-10p. This is good opportunity to let your kids come and be kids. The Eagle’s Wings staff will be on hand to help with skills and monitor gym activities. Kids can work on tumbling, trampoline, tumble trax or just play in the pit. Although Members and Non Members are allowed to attend FNO, students enrolled in a class can attend Open Gym at a reduced rate.
*Sick of the longs lines to get into Friday Night Out? Buy a speed pass and skip the line! Cards are good for 10 open gyms {7p-10p times only} and you must be a member to purchase a speed pass. Current members get 10 Open Gyms for $100 and New members get 10 Open Gyms for $90 with purchase of $35 membership to EWA. Our speed pass is convenient business card sized and has all your information directly on the card making check-in a breeze! Speed Passes will be on sale at all Open Gyms. Purchase yours in advance to avoid the line to purchase one at FNO.

Happy Bday EWA!
It’s our 8th birthday at EWA, and you are cordially invited to celebrate with us! EWA will be throwing our annual Birthday Party at EWA Allen and EWA Prosper from 3p-5p this Saturday May 14th. We will have Open Gym time, popcorn, cake, sno cones, door prizes, awesome vendors and more! This event is completely FREE and open to the entire community, so make sure to stop by and join in on the fun!
{Please note that parents are not allowed to drop their kids off at the gym during this time. This is a family event and parents must stay with their children!}

Teddy Bear Week at EWA

It’s Teddy Bear week for our Preschoolers! Bring your teddy bear to class and teach them how to hang from the bar, walk on the beam, do front rolls down the cheese mat, and more! Please make sure that your teddy bear is soft and able to move freely {no hard plastic dolls please}. See you in the gym!
