Team Eagle’s Wings Athletics is making a difference by teaming up to participate in the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life.
The relay is tomorrow April 30th, and at the event, our team will camp out overnight and take turns walking around the track to raise money and awareness to help the American Cancer Society create a world with less cancer and more birthdays.
Saving lives from cancer starts one team, one participant, and one dollar at a time. Our team is doing our part to make sure that cancer never steals another year of anyone?s life.

Saturday May 14th we will be celebrating EWA’s Birthday 3-5PM. This is a free event welcoming members and non-members to enjoy an open gym. Our Vendor spaces have been filled for our Allen location, but we are still looking for a few vendors for our Prosper location! If you have a child currently enrolled in a program at EWA, the fee is $25. If you do not have a child currently enrolled in a program at EWA, the fee is $50. We will provide you a table and tablecloth. You have the opportunity to sell items and promote your business!
We will be promoting the event throughout our gym with posters and flyers, as well as via our facebook page, email, and newsletters. If you take part as a vendor, we encourage you to use your contacts and connections to promote your booth.
Does this event not fit your schedule or you want to participate in our other events? Do you have events in which EWA may be able to participate? We want to know! We will have our annual National Gymnastics Day event in September where there will be another opportunity for vendor spaces and potential sponsorship opportunities. This is one of our largest in-house events. Or do you have another way you might like to participate? Further yet, in January we host our annual Dallas Cup Competition held at the Allen Event Center. We have advertising space available in our programs, banner advertisements, and sponsorship opportunities. Don’t wait and don’t miss your opportunity to promote your business! Summer Camp at EWA
Summer is coming and so is Summer camp at EWA! Join us at our Allen and Prosper locations all summer for fun, active and exciting themed camps! Details are below…sign up today, spots are filling up quickly!
General Information: The purpose of EWA Summer Adventure Camp
is to provide a quality program that encourages kids to set personal goals, challenge
themselves and develop good sportsmanship and team work skills while enjoying
a fun and active day camp experience. EWA Summer Adventure Camp offers a unique
and rewarding program to help children learn to set and achieve goals. Each camper
will set their goals based on the list of challenges they receive on the first
day of camp. Campers can share their achievement with their family and friends
at the Award Ceremony on Friday afternoon. Water Wednesday is back this year!
Children ages 3 and older are welcome to come to camp. You can choose from 2,
3, 4 or 5-day camps and stay from 8am - Noon (ages 3+), Noon - 4pm (ages 3+),
or 8am - 4pm (ages 5+). The choice is yours! We even offer Extended Camp Care
from 4pm - 6pm at a reasonable rate.
Eligibility: Children must be at least 3 years old and potty trained by the start of camp.
What to Bring: Camp T-shirts must be worn at all times during camp for security
purposes. Please bring a full change of clothes for each camper, swim suit and
towel for Water Wednesday. Campers should bring a sack lunch, a snack, and a refillable
water bottle. All medications and special instructions must be signed into the
office on your child’s 1st day of camp each week. Please be sure to label all
items brought to camp with your child’s name, including your camp T-shirt.
Drop Off & Pick Up: Each child will need to be signed in and out by a
parent at the sign-in table in the lobby and issued a numbered wristband. The
parent will be given the number to use during pickup. If someone other than a
parent is picking up please tell them your child’s wristband number. *Please note
that Wednesday’s are designated Water Wednesday’s. We will pull out the inflatable
water slide (weather permitting), and let the kids go to town. If you forget your
child’s bathing suit, they will not be able to participate in the water slide.
Other activities will be made available for these students.

Our EWA Flyers had an amazing 2010-2011 Season, and we are holding tryouts for the 2011-2012 Season soon. Come be a part of this 6 time National Championship team including NCA National Champions and “Best Choreography” at NCA Nationals! Tryouts are this Saturday April 30th from 12:30p-2:30p and will be a clinic style tryout.
The tryout fee is $40 and can be paid on Saturday. Girls need to wear athletic shorts, t-shirt or tank top, tennis shoes, and their hair must be pulled back. For further questions, please contact our office staff @ 972.727.9911.

Super Babies Workshop Friday

Come learn ways you can help your baby get a jump start. The sooner you start these techniques the better. We will be movin’ and groovin’, stretching and building muscles.
This clinic is for infants and babies up to 18 months.

Successful State Championships
Congrats to all the athletes on a very successful State Championships this past weekend! The coaches are very proud of everyone! The team had 11 gold medals, 14 silvers, and 11 bronze medals, and also won 6 teams awards… 2nd place for level 8 trampoline, level 10 trampoline, and level 7 double mini, 1st place for level 8 double mini and level 9 double mini, and 3rd place for level 7 tumbling. GO EWA!! State Championships is the first qualifier to Nationals for the Trampoline and tumbling team and they had many athletes qualify for a total of 35 events.

General Information:
Mini Meets at EWA are a great way to see how your child is progressing in his/her class.
Each student enrolled in one of our Mini Meets will perform a combination of skills (routines) that they have learned in class. Our EWA team students will judge them based on their performance. Scores will not be given like in a real meet, but we will recognize if the students can successfully perform the skills on each event or if they need a little help. If all of the skills on the event are done well with no spot or help from the coach, they will receive a blue ribbon. If they need a spot or just can’t quite complete the skill, they will receive a green ribbon for doing their best. If the students receive all blue ribbons, they will also receive a trophy and will advance to the next class level! No matter what or how the student performs, they will all receive ribbons and be rewarded for doing their best!
Price:
Spaces are limited for Mini Meets, so we strongly suggest you register for Mini Meets as soon as you can! Registration is $15 per student, and we do not accept registrations past the Saturday prior to the Mini Meet.
EWA also offers a class competitive leotard for our girls and a class competitive shirt/shorts for our boys to perform in. Both will have the EWA logo on the front. The cost for each is $35.00. When you purchase one for your child , registration for the Mini Meet is FREE!
