Our EWA Flyers had an amazing 2010-2011 Season, and we are holding tryouts for the 2011-2012 Season soon. Come be a part of this 6 time National Championship team including NCA National Champions and “Best Choreography” at NCA Nationals!
Tryouts are Saturday April 30th from 12:30-2:30. The cost for our 2 hours clinic/tryout is $40 and during the time they are here we will assess what team your child would best fit.
Girls need to wear athletic shorts, t-shirt or tank top, tennis shoes, and their hair must be pulled back. For further questions, please contact our office staff @ 972.727.9911.

Last Minute Tumble Practice

Congrats to all our girls who made cheerleader before Spring Break! We are so proud of you and were happy to help with your progress! For those who have yet to try out, we are letting you come to our 8pm tumble classes to Monday - Thursday this week for an opportunity to get ahead of the competition! The drop in rate is $20 for the hour. An hour private lesson is $60 or more, so this is a great alternative to 1 on 1 lessons. We will be adding coaches this week to stick to our student to teacher ratio.
This is also a great opportunity to get ready for our upcoming Eagle’s Wings Flyers competitive cheer tryouts April 30th. More info on that coming soon! See you there!

EWA Flyers Win International Competition

EWA FLYERS WIN INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION
The cheer team at Eagle’s Wings Athletics (EWA) has done it again – another win, this time at the international level. The Flyers competed against six other teams in the Level One Junior Small Gym division the International All-Level Championship Cheer and Dance Competition in Dallas on April 17.
This win earned them the title of Southwest Regional Champions, and allows them to be scored for the World Championships. Performances on April 17 will be video scored by World judges to determine World Champions, with the winners announced by the end of May.

Our EWA Flyers had an amazing 2009-2010 Season, and we want to congratulate all of the girls who tried out for our upcoming 2010-2011 season! It’s going to be another amazing year for EWA’s cheer teams!
First Practice for 2010-2011 Season: If you already tried out, please note that your first practice is Sunday May 2nd from 2p-4p. Girls need to wear athletic shorts, t-shirt or tank top, tennis shoes, and their hair must be pulled back.
Mandatory Parent’s Meeting: There will be a parent’s meeting to go over packet information on May 4th at 7:30p in our Mother’s Day Out room upstairs. Please note that this is mandatory.
If you want to be a part of this 5 time National Championship team who was undefeated in each competition they attended this year and on top of winning NCA Nationals, won “Best Choreography” at NCA Nationals, IT’S NOT TOO LATE! Check out the info below and get ready for tryouts!

FLYERS AT THE TOP
The Eagle’s Wings Athletics (EWA) cheer team has added yet another title to their undefeated season repertoire, the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) National Championships. Held this past weekend in Dallas, the Flyers took first place in the Level One Small Team division. Coaches Anthony Thomas and Dabney Eiland received the Best Choreography award for the division.

CHEER TEAM WINS THIRD STRAIGHT NATIONAL TITLE
The entire gym at Eagle’s Wings Athletics (EWA) is in full competition mode since all of its teams are in the middle of competition season, and are racking up awards. The EWA Flyers cheer team continues their undefeated season by taking yet another National Title in a Cheer Gyms Association (CGA) competition held in San Antonio February 14. The Flyers, coached by Anthony Thomas and Dabney Eiland, took first place at the small gym nationals, and earned overall High Point honors in their division. Lauren Huck was recognized with the WOW! award for her outstanding performance.

EWA FLYERS WIN 2ND NATIONAL TITLE
ALLEN, TX: These girls are so good they have earned not just one, but two National titles so far this season. The Eagle’s Wings Athletics (EWA) Flyers cheerleading team is undefeated in their division, and won back-to-back national championships in January.
On January 16 they competed at the American Cheerleading Association (ACA) small gym national championships at the Ft. Worth Convention Center. There they had the highest score of the 23 Level 1 teams participating. They also received High Point honors in their division, which earned them a $500 prize.
The next weekend the team competed at the Cheer Gyms of America (CGA) small gym nationals at the Dallas Convention Center, where they again took the top spot. As first place team their competition fees are covered for the Alamo National Championships in San Antonio in February. Their coach, Anthony Thomas, was voted “Coach of the Year” at the competition. Assistant coach, Dabney Eiland, has also helped the EWA Flyers go undefeated in their six contests this season.
Three girls, Kaylan Guvernator, Lauren Huck and Jocelyn Lo, have received the WOW! award at CGA competitions for their exceptional performances.
EWA Flyers Are Soaring!

The EWA Cheer Team, the Flyers, are having an absolutely incredible year! The Flyers have participated in 4 Competitions so far this year and have placed 1st at every competition! This past weekend they competed against 8 teams and besides taking home the 1st place trophy, they received High Point honors in their division. Way to go girls! Two of our cheerleaders, Kaylan (BK) Guvernator and Lauren (Huck-A-Duck) Huck, received the WOW! Award for their performances. We are just getting started and can’t wait to see how the rest of the season plays out. We are so proud of our cheerleaders and coaches for such a fantastic start to the season!
